DAVENPORT prepared an internal circulation analysis, transportation impact analysis, data collection, due diligence report, conceptual roadway designs, and traffic signal designs and modifications for the Mission Hospital Emergency Department and Surgery Tower in Asheville, NC. As a part of the analysis, DAVENPORT utilized patient admittance data provided by Mission Health to assess the parking demand for the new facility and provided recommendations for efficient, on-site circulation patterns for pick-up/drop off procedures at the Tower’s loading zone. In addition to the immediate development plan of the Emergency/Surgery Tower, DAVENPORT also assisted with analyzing adjacent intersections to understand the capacity for future growth of the Mission Health Campus. DAVENPORT worked closely with Mission Health staff and the City of Asheville to coordinate the scheduling of recommended improvements so that upcoming public projects that were within the project limits were not adversely impacted.
