The DAVENPORT Mission:

DAVENPORT is committed to developing people and positive relationships - with our team members, as well as with our clients and the agencies we interact with. We work hard, but the quality of life for our staff is also of utmost importance. In keeping with our president's (John Davenport, Jr.) vision, DAVENPORT strives to reflect the spirit of Christ in all of our interactions, whether it is with a client or in our service throughout the community and world. Mr. Davenport views DAVENPORT not only as an organization to make money, but also to contribute in a positive way to the world around us - with the ultimate desire of leaving the world in a better condition than we found it. In order to ensure that our mission is clear and our actions are pure, DAVENPORT has formed and charged the DAVENPORT Ministry Team with the goal of seeking out and collaborating with local organizations in need.

The DAVENPORT Ministry Team:

The DAVENPORT Ministry Team abides by the mission to reach out to those in need within the communities in which DAVENPORT resides. Outreach efforts of the DAVENPORT Ministry Team are geared toward touching the hearts of people in need by collaborating with faith-based organizations. Each month the Ministry Team identifies two or more organizations that can be blessed through donations of various kinds. Each quarter DAVENPORT then focuses its ministry by organizing a Mini Mission Trip in which its employees can volunteer at a faith-based organization selected by the DAVENPORT Ministry Team Committee. Since not all Ministry Team members are located in the same region, each regional office is encouraged to find suitable organizations that will benefit from our ministry and service. The broader the reach, the greater the impact. Our Vision is invested in Matthew 25: 35-36:

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."

The Ministry Team Committee:

  • Tia Smith (President/Team Leader)
  • Grandin Howell (Historian)
  • Tyesha Smoot (Financial Secretary)
  • Royal Hinshaw
  • Dionne Brown
  • Lori Boyer
  • Ryan Thompson

  • In keeping with our mission of serving the LORD in tangible ways, DAVENPORT is partnered with several ministries locally and abroad that share the same mission. Below are some of the organizations that we work with.
